The Ottawa City Commission will meet tonight and the Agenda is fairly short. One item on that Agenda is a presentation by Acting Public Works Director, Dennis Tharp, who will talk about the Kansas Department of Transportation Federal Funds Exchange Program. This voluntary program allows local public agencies to exchange Federally allocated dollars in a specific Federal fiscal year with KDOT, in exchange for State Transportation Dollars. The city would receive over $160,000 in the exchange. These funds will be placed into the Special Streets Fund.
The final two items will be presented by Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner. A request for passage of the 2022 Standard Traffic Ordinance and Uniform Public Offense Code as outlined by the League of Kansas Municipalities.
