The Kansas Farm Bureau Awards are coming up soon and Franklin County farmers have scored big. Mark and Lacey Wray will be recognized as one of the Farm Families of the Year in the State of Kansas. Only 10 have been selected. Also, Allen Campbell has been chosen as a Friend of Agriculture Award Winner. Only four of these awards are being awarded all across the State. The awards will be presented at the Franklin County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, to be held on August 10th at Celebration Hall.

At the meeting, a Year-In-Review will be presented, showcasing the huge number of events sponsored by the Farm Bureau and recognizing the Wrays and Campbells, as well as Century Farm Honorees, Elain Dunbar and the Ruud family and Sesquicentennial Farm recognizing the Patricia Maxwell family.

Also that night, a special speaker, Debbie Lyons Blyth will talk about their Registered Angus Cow Herd and what sustainability means to their operation and how farmers and ranchers have a key role in the future of agriculture all across the Nation.
