Final unofficial results are in for the Primary Election last night and, in the most talked about race, Kansas voters, in a landslide, defeated the “Value Them Both” Amendment, defying polling and political observers who expected a close result. Fifty nine percent of voters voted “no” and 41% voted “yes”. Governor Laura Kelly says she is proud of Kansas voters for standing up for fundamental rights while Senator Roger Marshal called it an enormous blow to protect the sanctity of life in Kansas. Even President Joe Biden weighed in, saying the vote makes it clear that the majority of Americans agree that women should have access to abortion and should have the right to make their own health care decisions.

“Value Them Both” coalition organizer, Danielle Underwood, says mainstream media left a false narrative of confusion and says the outcome is only a temporary setback and the effort to value women and babies is far from over.
