A decades old tradition in Ottawa is back after a two year hiatus. The 33rd DARE Camp for Franklin County 5th graders starts today. three days filled with all kinds of fun and unique activities for kids of all backgrounds. Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner, says it’s a three day, two night camp, full of activities and going to be an exciting three days at Prairie Star Ranch:
DARE stands for “Drug Abuse Resistance Education” The program gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement with drugs, gangs and violence.
