A gas station in Wichita is going to sell gas on Monday, August 8, for $2.38 a gallon. What a deal! They are doing it as part of a promotion by “Americans for Prosperity Kansas”. That price is the average price of unleaded gasoline when President Biden took office in January of 2021. The organizations goal is to highlight the policies contributing to skyrocketing prices that are squeezing working class families across Kansas and Nationwide. They say the average American is spending an extra $1,400 a year in gasoline and over $5,000 a year just to maintain the same standard of living of last year. They want to use the event to focus on what they call “Washington’s Reckless Spending”.

The cheap gas will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis at the Jump Start Gas Station in the 700 block of Broadway in Wichita, from 2:00 to 3:30 Monday afternoon.
