It appears the cost of renting hangars at the Ottawa Airport will see a rather sharp increase January 1st, assuming the City Commission gives its final approval. Interim Public Works Director, Dennis Tharp, told Commissioners that too cheap rent is allowing some planes to just sit:
Tharp says the average rate would jump 15% January. Some City Officials say it makes more sense to implement one sizable rate increase rather than several smaller increases, which in the end will equal the same overall rate hike.
