The Ottawa City Commission will hold its Regular Meeting this morning, Wednesday, August 17. Several items on the Agenda. First, the Commission will look at a request for approval of bids that were received on three Lakeside lots. All three highest bids were from Van Knight Homes, LCC. Second, the Commission will review a recommendation by the Ottawa Municipal Airport Advisory Board, to increase hangar rental rates at the airport. A review of hangar rates across the region showed Ottawa was significantly lower than any other airport. The Advisory Board is recommending increases of hangar rates across the board for all types of planes. Last, they will add eight residential properties and one commercial property to the Neighborhood Revitalization Program. The commercial property is on the north east corner of Keokuk and Main and will be Zelda’s Café and Frozen Custard, a new café offering a variety of coffees, baked goods and custards.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 this morning. The public is welcome to attend and it will be live-streamed on the City of Ottawa’s Facebook Page, or tune in to KOFO. We will be carrying the meeting live, starting at 10:00 this morning.
