The process of converting the Econo-Lodge in South Ottawa into a housing complex is about to get underway in earnest. Developer, Josh Walker told the Ottawa City Commission that the cost of the project may have been too much, were it not for some State Housing programs:
Around $3 million for the Econo-Lodge project has been designated by the State. The money will gradually be funneled through the City of Ottawa and on to Josh Walker to reimburse him for the project. Walker says he expects the conversion to be completed next Summer of fall
