The Ottawa School District welcomed many new teachers this year, quite a few of which are Ottawa High graduates returning to teach in the community they grew up in. Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs, says bringing home local teachers has many benefits:
Another advantage is having the teachers know the city, the area and what resources are available to help students and their families. Cobbs was unsure of exactly how many USD teachers are graduates of Ottawa High; however, he is checking and as soon as that info is available to us, we’ll let you know.
