The Ottawa Main Street Association has announced the hiring of Olivia Kloster as the new Director. She is a Senior at Ottawa University, where she is the Editor-In-Chief of “The Campus” newspaper and the Marketing Manager for the Creed Family Greenhouse at OU. Oliva was born in Nebraska, raised in Denver; but, is calling Ottawa her home for now. She says she loves the small town feel, the history and the potential for what Ottawa can do with Main Street. She is passionate driven, energetic and brings fresh ideas to our organization.

The Main Street Association is confident that hiring Kloster is a step toward proving that Main Street is back in operation and going to be better than ever.

Ottawa City Commissioner, Emily Graves, says she has been putting a lot of time and energy into finding a director. She says she sees the value of having the Ottawa Main Street Organization in place and says she get goose bumps talking to Kloster about the position, saying she is motivated, energetic and excited. She is sure she will do big things for Downtown Ottawa. Look for Olivia out on the street meeting business owners and meeting the people of Ottawa as they shop in the downtown area.
