The Franklin County Sheriff’s office and Wellsville Fire Department responded to a call Wednesday afternoon, August 24, of a house on fire. When crews arrived at the scene in the 4000 block of Tennessee Road, just north and west of Buck-U Distillery, they went to work putting out the fire at the house. The occupant of the house, 26 year old Tabitha Smith, of Wellsville, told authorities that her house caught on fire for an unknown reason. The fire was extinguished.
There were no injuries reported in the afternoon blaze and there was not a damage estimate given in the report.
