Garnett’s newest restaurant held a soft opening last week. Troyer’s 1883 opened in the old bank building on the corner of 4th and Oak Streets, with a huge variety of baked goods. Owner Jessica Troyer says they will be open for lunch this week. The building has been transformed by the new owner. It will feature American and Italian food. There will be a café/ coffee shop,/ bakery on the first floor, with “grab-n-go” breakfast items and lunch menu. The second floor will also be open for lunch and dinner. If you have been wishing Garnett had a great salad bar… Troyer’s has it.
Another new business in Garnett will hold a Ribbon Cutting soon. Soul to Soul Pedicure and Wellness Spa will have a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on September 17th at 11:00 in the morning. Soul to Soul is the only pedicure spa in southeast Kansas, specializing in diabetic and geriatric foot care. The owner, Angie Dean, is a Certified Master Pedicurist. She says she is passionate about healthy foot care and takes pride in cleanliness and sanitation.
