We all know it’s against the law to drive while impaired, but over 10,000 people in the U. S. are killed every year in drunk driving crashes. The Ottawa Police Department is participating in the “You Drink, You Drive, You Lost” Campaign, aimed at removing drunk and other impaired drivers from the roadways. The Ottawa Police Department wants you to make a habit of making sure you have a sober ride home after drinking. Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner:
He adds that you can always count on the Ottawa Police to vigorously enforce impaired driving and other traffic laws, not just during the enforcement campaign, but all through the year.
