If you are looking for a way to take advantage of the Flint Hills Trail and want to get out for a nice bike ride on that trail, we have the perfect event for you. Join the Mile Zero Bike Club. They are looking for bikers of all ability levels, novice, recreational and biker wannabes to join the fun, get healthier, make new friends and enjoy nature. The Club’s inaugural ride is today, Wednesday, September 7th. It will start at 5:30 this afternoon at the Flint Hills Trail, Mile Zero marker in Osawatomie.

It will be a leisurely four mile ride to John Brown Highway and back. They recommend you bring a helmet and a water bottle. The club will be giving simple maintenance tips and have plenty of repairs along for the the ride. Jeff and Sarah Dorsett, from Freedom’s Front Tire Used Bicycles and Repair, will be at the trail at 5:00 to help with adjustments, air up your tires and give out plenty of encouragement. If you need a loaner bike, give them a call today and they may be able to help.

Biking is a great pastime and can renew your soul.
