The franklin County Emergency Communications Department is about to implement a new technology. It’s called Rapidvideo and the feature allows dispatchers to see what may be going on at the site of an emergency. During the Franklin County Commission Study Session, County Administrator Derek Brown says it all starts with the camera on your cell phone:
Brown says the caller has to agree to the visual link. It cannot be unilaterally implemented by the dispatcher.
