The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it will be hosting a three day K-9 Tracking Seminar starting today, September 21. the focus of the seminar is urban environments. The Sheriff’s Office says you may see local K-9 teams and teams from other jurisdictions in the neighborhoods and near businesses. They say that if you see teams out ad about, feel free to wave at them and watch from a distance, but they ask that you do not approach the dogs or the handlers while they are working through a scenario. The teams are looking forward to working through different types of situations and training within the communities they serve.
The training seminar with several other departments should wrap up on Thursday of this week.
