This week is Railroad Safety Week. The National Transportation Safety Board and Operation Lifesaver are providing information about safety around railroad tracks for both pedestrians and motorists. Have you ever thought about what you would do if your vehicle was stuck on the tracks? What would you do? Operation Rescue says, find the emergency sign:

In the United States, a person or vehicle is hit by a train every three hours. Trains are quieter and faster than you think. The average freight train ,traveling 55 miles per hour, can take a mile or more to stop. That’s 18 football fields. See tracks? Think Train!
