Improvements coming to a major intersection in Ottawa, starting today. Acting Public Works Director, Dennis Tharp, says the contractors will be replacing the traffic signals at the intersection of 23rd and Main Street. The signals are being replaced to provide more visibility and safety to the intersections. During the replacement of the signals, traffic may be narrowed to one lane at times. There will be workers and equipment at the intersection most of the day, today and into tomorrow. Please be aware of this and if you are driving in the area of 23rd and Main, slow down and take extra caution as you approach and go through the intersection, to allow the workers to safely do their jobs.
Tharp says that work on the signals should be completed by sometime tomorrow, Wednesday, September 28th.
