You may have heard the Mayor of New York City make some disparaging remarks about Kansas the other day. He said when he was on a trip overseas, he was accepted and welcomed because people were familiar with the brand of “New York City”, something that a place like Kansas lacks. Native Kansans are pushing back a bit. Actor Eric Stonestreet posted a video promoting Kansas.

Kansas Governor, Laura Kelly, responded to the comments, too. She pointed out that the Sunflower State has a lot more than sunflowers, boasting a high quality of life, blossoming investments in business, excellent schools, great sports teams, the best beef in the world, enjoyed by many of his constituents in the finest restaurants, and, oh yea, the Park in New York, Central Park, its 800 acres. We have the Flint Hills, 4 million acres of beauty!

So there you go, Mayor Adams, sure, you have the Yankees, but you can have them. Come on out to Kansas. We’ll show you a good time and get you some of the best barbeque in the world! Oh wait… you’re a vegan. That’s alright, more for us.
