OTTAWA HIGH SCHOOL WELCOMED THREE NEW MEMBER TO THE WALL OF HONOR LAST NIGHT WITH A BANQUET AND CEREMONY AT OHS. THIS YEAR’S INDUCTEES INCLUDE SANDI STANEART FROM THE CLASS OF 1959. SHE ATTENDED RESEARCH HOSPITAL, THE MEDICAL CENTER SCHOOL FOR NURSING AND THE KU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, AS WELL AS WSU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE. STANEART IS WELL KNOWN IN OTTAWA AS BEING THE SCHOOL NURSE FOR MANY YEARS.
WANDA SHUMWAY-TEMM, FROM THE CLASS OF 1973. SHE ATTENDED OTTAWA UNIVERSITY. RECEIVED HER MASTERS FROM PURDUE UNIVERSITY, THEN OBTAINED HER LAW DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS IN 1988.
AND, GREG UNRUH, ALSO FROM THE CLASS OF 1973. AFTER COMPLETING HIS BACHELORS AT SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE, HE ATTENDED THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, GRADUATING IN 1981, THEN COMPLETED HIS RESIDENCY IN ANESTHESIOLOGY IN 1985. ALL THREE WILL BE PUBLICALLY RECOGNIZED AT HALFTIME OF THE OTTAWA HIGH FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT.
