WANT TO GET TO KNOW OTTAWA POLICE OFFICERS A LITTLE BETTER? THE OTTAWA POLICE DEPARTMENT IS SPONSORING “COFFEE WITH A COP”. IT WILL BE HELD THIS MORNING AT CORNER MARKET IN DOWNTOWN OTTAWA. OTTAWA POLICE CHIEF ADAM WEINGARTNER SAYS THE MISSION OF THE PROGRAM IS TO BREAK DOWN THE BARRIERS BETWEEN POLICE OFFICERS AND CITIZENS BY REMOVING AGENDAS AND ALLOWING OPPORTUNITIES TO ASK QUESTIONS, VOICE CONCERNS, AND GET TO KNOW THE OFFICERS IN TOWN.
THE OTTAWA POLICE FOUNDATION MADE “COFFEE WITH A COP” POSSIBLE. THEY PROVIDED MUGS AND OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE OFFICER’S COFFEE. AGAIN, ENJOY A CUP OF COFFEE WITH OTTAWA POLICE OFFICERS TOMORROW MORNING FROM 7 TO 9 AT CORNER MARKET ON NATIONAL COFFEE WITH A COP DAY
