A WOMAN WAS ARRESTED AFTER FEDERAL AUTHORITIES SAY THEY SEIZED 15,000 MULTI-COLORED FENTANYL PILLS, CONCEALED IN A LEGO BOX, FROM THE VEHICLE SHE WAS DRIVING. THE DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION CLAIMS THE PILLS WERE DESTINED FOR DISTRIBUTION THROUGHOUT NEW YORK CITY. DISGUISING THE DRUG AS CANDY AND HIDING IT IN TOYS IS A LATEST WAY CARTELS ARE MOVING THE DRUG AROUND THE COUNTRY. DEA OFFICIALS SAY RAINBOW FENTANYL IS A PRODUCT OF TWO SPECIFIC CARTELS IN MEXICO, THE SINALOA CARTEL AND JALISCA NEW GENERATION CARTEL.

FENTANYL IS HIGHLY POISONOUS AND MUST BE TIGHTLY CONTROLLED WHEN ADMINISTERED BY QUALIFIED PHYSICIANS. LAW ENFORCEMENT SAYS THE INFLUX OF ILLEGAL DRUGS CAN BE DIRECTLY TRACED TO POOR BORDER SECURITY POLICIES.
