THE FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSION HAS GIVEN INITIAL APPROVAL FOR THE REZONING OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF I-35 AND TENNESSEE ROAD TO COMMERCIAL PROPERTY. COUNTY PLANNING AND BUILDING DIRECTOR KENNY COOK SAYS THE REZONING WAS EXPECTED:
B AND M PETROLEUM SUBMITTED FOR THE REZONING. A SIMILAR REQUEST WAS DENIED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION LAST YEAR, BUT THIS ONE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION FELT IT WAS WORTHY OF CONSIDERATION.
