THE FRANKLIN COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN APPROVED TO BUY A NEW SPREADER. THE NOXIOUS WEED DEPARTMENT USES THE SPREADER TO SPREAD MATERIAL IN PARKING LOTS AND SUBDIVISIONS. COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DAVID LEE SAYS REPAIRS ON THE OLD ONE, WHICH IS AT LEAST 20 YEARS OLD, ARE ADDING UP:
THE TOTAL COST OF THE SPREADER IS $10,198 DOLLARS. THE COMMISSION APPROVED THE PURCHASE AND IT WILL BE PAID FOR OUT OF THE NOXIOUS WEED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FUND.
