THE OTTAWA CITY COMMISSION SPENT A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME DURING THEIR STUDY SESSION, TALKING ABOUT A SPLASH PAD. UTILITIES DIRECTOR DENNIS THARP GAVE COMMISSIONER HIS STAFFS DECISION ON WHERE THE SPLASH PAD SHOULD GO.

THE COMMISSION APPROVED THE LOCATION AND NOW BARTLETT AND WEST WILL DESIGN SEVERAL OPTIONS WITH DIFFERENT AMENITIES. THE SPLASH PAD WILL HAVE AT LEAST FOUR WATER FEATURES, BENCHES AND COVERED AREAS FOR SHADE FOR PARENTS TO WATCH THEIR CHILDREN. THE PUBLIC WILL HAVE INPUT ON WHAT AMENITIES THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE. IT COULD POSSIBLY BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC BY NEXT SUMMER.
