MIAMI COUNTY CANCER FOUNDATION’S ANNUAL DINNER WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22ND, AT THE PAOLA COUNTRY CLUB. THE EVENT, WHICH IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE IN THE EVENING FROM 6:00 TO 10:00 AND WILL FEATURE A TACO BAR, WINE PULL, MUSIC BINGO WITH CASH PRIZES, AND A LIVE AUCTION BY BOBBY PENN. ONE OF THE ITEMS BEING AUCTIONED OFF IS A QUILT MADE BY ELAINE ELLIOTT OF PAOLA. ELLIOTT SAYS SEVERAL OF HER FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS HAVE BATTLED CANCER, INCLUDING HER MOTHER, WHO HAD LUNG CANCER FROM BREATHING SECONDHAND SMOKE. THE COLORFUL QUILT, WHICH FEATURES SATIN MATERIAL ON TOP, WAS MADE USING FABRIC FROM ELLIOTT AND SOME DONATED BY ONE OF HER FRIENDS WHO BATTLED CANCER.
TICKETS TO THE DINNER COST$25.00, BUT THERE IS LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE. LOCAL RESIDENTS INTERESTED IN ATTENDING ARE ENCOURAGED TO CALL THE MIAMI COUNTY CANCER FOUNDATION OFFICE TO CHECK ON AVAILABILITY. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE DINNER AND AUCTION WILL BENEFIT THE MIAMI COUNTY CANCER FOUNDATION.
KOFO ENCOURAGES ALL RESIDENTS OF MIAMI COUNTY TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE MIAMI COUNTY CANCER FOUNDATION, SO THEY CAN CONTINUE PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED SERVICES TO PEOPLE AND FAMILIES IN MIAMI COUNTY THAT HAVE OR ARE AFFECTED BY CANCER.
