The City of Ottawa has begun it’s search for a new City Manager. The City Commission has hired SGR, a research firm use exclusively for finding good candidates for positions such as City Managers. City Attorney Blaine Finch told Commissioners about the terms of the contract with them:
He added that the contract will amount to just under $25,000. After the search is narrowed, the finalist will go through a series of interviews with the Commission until a decision is made. Current City Manager, Richard Nienstedt has announced his retirement as of March 31st of 2023.
