Another edition of the KOFO Good People Award. Last week, an off duty Franklin County EMT was on his way back from Olathe when he noticed something unusual in the roadway. Something you don’t normally see on the highway. A live chicken. That’s right, a chicken. Now many of us would have probably driven on by and hope that the chicken would be ok. Not Aaron Mayo. Mayo stopped his truck and secured the chicken safely in the vehicle. He tells the story:
The bird laid an egg on the trip home and Mayo says the bird is living happily on his farm. Thank you Aaron for this act of compassion and kindness. You made an impression on quite a few people and put a bright spot in a sometimes no so bright world. The world needs more people like you.
