TWO ACCIDENTS TO TELL YOU ABOUT FIRST…
An injury accident Friday night on I-35 sent a woman and a child to the hospital. Friday night at 6:20, 27-year-old Kaylee Huddleston, of Shawnee was traveling northbound in the 4300 block of I-35 when she left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle overturned several times before coming to rest on it’s wheels. Kaylee and a 7-year-old passenger were transported by Franklin County EMS to Advent Health Ottawa for injuries they received in the crash. No report of the extent of those injuries. The incident is under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s office
An injury accident Saturday afternoon on I-35 near the 177 mile marker sent two to the hospital. Franklin County first responders were dispatched to the scene about 12:30 that afternoon. A vehicle driven by 74-year-old James Eaton of Kansas City, was traveling southbound when he fell asleep and veered off the road to the left and came to a stop in the median. Both Eaton and his wife, 74-year-old Vickie Eaton were transported to Advent Health Ottawa for treatment of minor injuries they received in the crash. Both were wearing their seatbelts
