Late Sunday afternoon Ottawa Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of South Locust Street for a report of a disturbance. The suspect, 33-year-old Jacob Lucas, of Ottawa fled from the scene before officers arrived. After the investigation, it was determined that a 29-year-old female had been the victim of aggravated robbery, criminal restraint, and criminal damage to property.

Lucas was located by officers in the early evening hours yesterday in the 300 block of South Locust Street. He briefly barricaded himself inside of a home before he was taken into custody. Nobody was injured and no force was used in the arrest of Lucas. The Ottawa Police Department was assisted by deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. Ottawa Police Lieutenant J. W. Hawkins says no further information will be released about this incident.
