Last year, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department announced they had cracked a 40-year-old cold case and know the family of Tawnya Knight is hoping hers is next. Fifteen year-old Tawnya from Spring Hill, was killed after leaving a friend house in 1996, her remains found in a field 6 months later. They say a private investigator hired by Knight has uncovered some information not discovered in the original investigation.
