The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Chamber Coffee at the Ottawa Library this morning. Everyone is invited to the library as they announce this year’s O-Town Reads book announcement. This is the 8th annual O-Town Reads event that encourages all people to read and discuss a book. The books chosen in the past are thought provoking and have tended to use timely topics to peak interest in the public reading the book together. Last year’s book “the Sun does Shine” was written by Ray Hinton and told of the 27 years he spent on death row for a crime he didn’t commit, and how hard he had to work to prove his innocence and win his release.
The Ottawa Library will provide free copies of the book for anyone wanting one. There will also be several special programs highlighting the book and it’s author. Come on down for the big reveal. The coffee will be at 8:00 this morning at the library. The public is invited to the event.
