You know it’s cold outside. You know you shouldn’t be outside, but you have to be. Protecting yourself form the extreme cold is important, otherwise cold related illnesses can occur, such as frostbite and hypothermia. National Weather Meteorologist, Colletta Kauffman with some tips on what frostbite is and how to treat it:

With temperatures in the area combined with the wind chill, it only takes a few minutes for frostbite or hypothermia to set in if you are not protecting against it. Dress in layers, wear a coat, hat and gloves and if you don’t have to be out, don’t be.
