A long-time Ottawa police officer is retiring. Lieutenant Doug Waterman spent 35 years with the department. Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner says Waterman’s career started in 1986:
Several City Commissioners noted that Waterman seems to have a different style of policing compared to some modern methods. With Commissioner Sara Caylor pointing out that Waterman was simply called “Doug” by many people.
