Last week Governor Laura Kelly announced a three part plan to reduce taxes. The first phase would eliminate the tax on diapers and feminine hygiene products. The second phase would create a sales tax holiday every year in August on school supplies. The final phase would make so no one making less than $100,000 would pay full taxes on social security:
Earlier this year, Kelly signed the “Az the Food Tax” bill which gradually eliminating the state food tax on groceries over a period of three years, but she wants it completely eliminated by July 1st of next year.
