The State of Kansas is trying to build its work force and part of that is making sure the workers have a place to live. The City of Ottawa recently received a Moderate-Income Housing Grant from the state. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, says it really helps rural communities
The single-family homes will be built on the old Lincoln Elementary School site, the townhouse duplex on another site. Heartland Design will be the builder. Ottawa and Franklin County are submitting application for each round of funding.
