The man accused of murdering his room mate at their residence at 11th and Ash, in June of last year, will be in court tomorrow, January 19th. A Status Conference is scheduled for 9:30 tomorrow. Twenty nine year old Anthony Alvarado was charged with second degree murder. Alvarado is accused of the stabbing death of 29-year-old Dalton Presley in June of 2022. He is being held on a one million dollar bond in the Franklin County Detention Center. Judge Kevin Kimball assigned Attorney John Boyde as Alvarado’s defense.
The case has a significant amount of evidence and there have been several status conferences the past few months as attorneys attempt to go through it all. At his initial hearing, before being led from the courtroom, Alvarado did ask the judge what the stipulations for self defense were in Kansas. The judge directed him to his attorney.
