Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has formally nominated Anthony Mattivi for Director of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. It was his first official act as Attorney General. Kobach says Mattivi will make an excellent leader in Kansas Law Enforcement.
Mattivi thanked all law enforcement across the state of Kansas as yesterday was Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. He says the officers in Kansas are dedicated and courageous professionals and as the newly nominated director of the KBI, he intends to do everything he can to support and enhance the ability of law enforcement officers to accomplish their vital roles of protecting and serving the communities.
