The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Santa Fe Trail High School during the early morning hours yesterday, January 12th. Sheriff Chris Wells released surveillance footage of yesterday’s burglary at the school. The surveillance footage has now revealed a person of interest. Santa Fe Trail students received an early dismissal classes yesterday as officials investigated the overnight break-in. All students were held safe in classrooms until the dismissal.

Santa Fe Trail USD 434 Deputy Superintendent, Faith Flory, says there was significant damage and theft as a result of the break in. She added that the “safety of the students, staff and visitors were the top priority, and the district made the decision to dismiss high school students early due to the ongoing investigation”. There will be school today.
