There was a changing-of-the-guard on the Ottawa City Commission during its regular meeting……but it didn’t come without some controversy. Ottawa Mayor Eric Crowley was re-elected by the Commission to be Mayor for another year, and Mayor Pro-tem Mike Skidmore was re-elected to stay in that position for one more year. Commissioner Sara Caylor says she doesn’t like the idea of people staying in the same office for more than one year:
Caylor voted for both Crowley and Skidmore to stay in their positions….but she wants to have a discussion on the change mechanism. Commissioner Zach Clayton voted to keep Crowley in the same office, but voted ‘no’ on keeping Skidmore in the same office for another year.
