With West Franklin Schools Superintendent, Jerry Turner, announcing his retirement at the end of the year, the West Franklin School District is in the process of interviewing and hiring a new Superintendent. Each candidate has been received with a meet and greet reception. Last week, Rex Boley from the Rock Hills District was interviewed. This week, on Tuesday, it was Tami Knedler from Dodge City, and Wednesday, Jason Cline from South Brown County was welcomed to town.

The Meet and Greet receptions have been held each afternoon at the West Franklin High School Commons, in Pomona. Today will be the final interview and Meet and Greet. The candidate today is Matt Brenzicofer, who is the current Principal at West Franklin High School. The USD 287 Board hopes to have a new Superintendent named before Spring Break.
