There’s little doubt that many bridges in Franklin County are in need of repair, and the number of bridges targeted for work may sharply increase in coming years. Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee, has won approval to spend almost $23,000 to have an engineering firm inspect the county’s 241 bridges, which has to be done every two years. Lee says he also recently learned something else about coming inspections.

Lee is expected to spell out the more stringent rules for bridge inspections as he learns more details.
