The Franklin County Commission Regular Meeting became a little more animated than usual. Commissioners got an earful of unhappy citizens, who do not want a wind farm in their backyard……..the project would generally be located near Pomona, and has already drawn fierce opposition. Shandie Proudie of Baldwin gave reasons for being against the wind farm:
Other residents questioned some possible drawbacks to wind turbines, including the killing of birds and the difficult process of de-commissioning older turbines.
