Internet provider KwiKom has entered into an agreement to sell its company to an Overland Park-based fiber network firm, a move that should boost the company’s recent quest to build a fiber network in eastern Kansas, including the Anderson County and Garnett areas. KwiKom CEO Zach Peres says they will now be able to greatly increase their strategic goals. The buyer is Wanrack LLC and is owned by CBRE Invest Management. Peres says the partnership will enable them to expand and upgrade even faster and provide the word class service that is desired and expected.

Anderson County and the City of Garnett both gave KwiKom $50,000 in Economic Grant Funding in 2020 to engage the fiber project in the area and another $100,000 in SPARKS COVID Funds to build and market the local service, under the agreement with the city.
