As expected, the Ottawa City Commission has approved a hike in electric rates for Ottawa customers. Ottawa Finance Director, Melanie Landis spelled out some of the provisions during the regular City Commission Meeting.
Electric rates will go up 6% March first of each year through 2027……..city officials say without the hike, the electric fund could dwindle to dangerously low amounts.
