A chicken for every pot………..that was actually Herbert Hoover’s Presidential Campaign slogan in 1928…but it might have some meaning again if the Ottawa City Commission opens the door wide to people having chickens. During the City Commission Study Session, Ottawa Mayor Eric Crowley said he wants to see what other cities are doing.
The city allows chickens now under certain restrictions……so the issue is whether to allow more residents to have chickens. Chickens will be on the discussion table for several more meetings.
