Most of us are familiar with online dating apps and other social media. Some even seriously try to meet the people they talk to on those apps. That’s all fine and good, but, beware…if a person you’ve been flirting with or talking to online wants you to send them money – don’t do it. Experts say fraudsters will often say they’re unable to send or receive mail and ask you to correspond through a third party – that should be a major red flag. Never send money to… or give out your personal banking information to anyone online or over the phone.
