If you have never heard the United States Navy Concert Band, you are missing out. They are a premier Wind Ensemble of the U. S. Navy. Now you have a chance to hear them for free! They will give a free concert at the Lied Center in Lawrence , March 3rd at 7:30 in the evening. Tickets are only available at the Lied Center ticket office, from 11:00 in the morning until 5:30 in the afternoon during weekdays. There is a limit of 4 tickets per person. It’s a great chance to see and hear a historic concert band.
The United States Navy Concert Band presents a wide array of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire. As the original ensemble of the Navy Band, the Concert Band has been performing public concerts and participating in high-profile events for more than 95 years.
