Franklin County is preparing to enact an official moratorium on wind farms for several years to come. At the regular Franklin County Planning Commission Meeting, County Administrator, Derek Brown, relayed the intent of the County Commission:
Brown says the moratorium does not reflect any official policy on solar farms at this point, although the solar issue is expected to come up at some point.
