A 44-year old Pomona man was arrested yesterday on drug charges after the Franklin County Drug Enforcement Unit served a search warrant. Lesley Venable was arrested for drug distribution in connection with an investigation at a residence in the 4200 block of Arkansas Road in rural Franklin County. Charges are pending.
Detectives from the Northeast Kansas Drug Task Force and the Special Tactics and Rescue Team, made up of members from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Ottawa Police Department, assisted with the execution of the warrant. They discovered approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia, and possibly fentanyl. The search warrant is the result of a months long investigation by the drug unit.
